Kontrapunkt strengthens strategic communication

The Brand Experience agency appoints Andrew Smart as Communication Director strengthening the company’s purpose-driven communications capability, backed by other key appointments such as Junior Copywriter Oscar Busch.

Brand purpose has become the centre for business growth
Executive Creative Director Philip Linnemann explains: "Defining a meaningful narrative between the world’s pressing challenges and all your business activities has become imperative to drive business growth and build trust with all stakeholders.”

Philip elaborates: "Furthermore, the new European Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance regulations will bring extra focus to ESG strategy. An organisation's ability to engage stakeholders in the impact of its activities is crucial. Creating captivating communication around this will be a central component for brands and key to their ability to progress and develop.”

Experienced profile joins Kontrapunkt
Johan Lawaetz, CEO of Kontrapunkt, welcomes Andrew Smart as an exciting appointment for the company. Andrew's appointment strengthens the offering we have and brings a new dimension to a strong team."

Andrew, previously Senior Creative at &Co, Partner at Mensch and Creative Director at London agency, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, joins Kontrapunkt with a wealth of both international and domestic experience and awards. But it's not just industry accolades that drive him.

"Brands, like us as people, are defined by their actions – what we care about and how we go about pursuing it is how we are remembered. We've all seen the positive change a clearly defined purpose can generate, not only within an organisation but for communities around them and way beyond in society as a whole. Helping clients create that kind of positive change is my greatest motivation." Andrew Smart states.

Joining Andrew is Junior Copywriter, Oscar Busch.

Oscar holds a Bachelor's degree in Creative Communication from DMJX (Danish School of Media and Journalism) and co-founded a small writing firm called Skriv for Faen (Just Write). Oscar will play an essential role in defining, conceptualising, and expressing brand strategy and communication for clients at Kontrapunkt.

Andrew starts in the newly created position of Communications Director at Kontrapunkt from January 2022, and Oscar Busch joined in November 2021.
