Koda wanted to show the value of their work and transform their organization to better serve members and customers in a digital era. To help them manifest their change we were chosen to translate their new vision and strategy into a new visual identity.
Koda is both a protector of musicians’ intellectual property rights and an active sponsor of the Danish music scene. Our challenge was to create an expression that highlights the different roles of the organization and makes Koda relevant for all stakeholders.
We placed the note like a copyright symbol to underline Koda’s role as a protector of copyrights. The black square signifies a serious and trustworthy administrator and the letters are lower case to also reflect that Koda is an accommodating and service-minded organization. The power of music peeks out in the background as a colourful halo, encapsulating the diversity of its members and giving the logo a dynamic and vivid expression.
The new design is being rolled out on everything from printed materials to signage, façade and interior. The design is also being transferred to both Koda’s website and a new digital annual report.
