Rasmus Lund Mathisen
As a Type Designer, Rasmus specialises in creating bespoke typefaces that express our client’s brand DNA.
Rasmus has created tailor-made typographic solutions and graphic design for a wide range of clients such as Carlsberg, Novo Nordisk, VOGUE Magazine, African design magazine OGOJIII, Danish Design Award and Danske Bank.
His work for both Danish Design Award and Kontrapunkt has been awarded with two Creative Circle Awards and two Red Dot awards, including a “Red Dot: Best of the Best” award for Kontrapunkt Miki typeface.
Prior to his position at Kontrapunkt, Rasmus has been stationed in the Netherlands and Sweden focusing on both graphic design and type design. Also, he has been working freelance on various projects.
His fascination with typography comes to show in his graduation project from the Royal Danish Academy of Arts that earned him his Master’s degree. Rasmus examined the typefaces created by sign painters in Copenhagen, Denmark during the first part of the 20th century.
Today, Rasmus is a guest lecturer and external examiner in Type Design & Wayfinding at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, The School of Design.
