Brand Strategy Assistant & Researcher
Maria is part of the brand strategy team, where she specializes in the research framework behind the creation of brand strategies and communication concepts, through conducting in-depth research as well as mapping and analyzing competitive landscapes. Maria has a passion for understanding individual motivations and attitudes through working with different target groups, market segments and through identifying social and cultural discourses as well trends and tendencies within different categories.
Prior to her position at Kontrapunkt, Maria worked for Carlsberg in Myanmar, where she helped develop their brand portfolio through a process of aligning local consumer insights with international brand guidelines to ensure strong brand positions. Maria also held the position of Strategic Planner at a Myanmar-based agency, where she worked on strategies and campaigns for clients such as Unilever, Telenor, and ILO.
Maria holds a BA in Business Administration and Sociology and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Brand and Communications Management at Copenhagen Business School, with a special interest in brand architecture, local brand adaptation, and nation branding.
