KONTRAPUNKT

Kontrapunkt designs Tourist Office in Copenhagen

The modern city tourist would like to stage his own experience. He is not here to see a particular thing and does not like to be put into a specific segment developed by marketing consultants.

Instead, he seeks authenticity and individual guidance. For the modern city tourist what happens in the city right now is important, not what happened 200 years ago.

In order to challenge the visitors of Copenhagen, Kontrapunkt developed a new concept for the tourist information: Copenhagen Right Now.

A collection of mobile pjeces of glass takes relevant information such as posters, flyers and the like from the city's fences, and is a reflection of happens in the city right now, from flea markets, hip hop concerts to ballets and operas.

A database of citizens of Copenhagen tells the visitors which shops, restaurants, bars and parks the locals like and dislike, in order to let the visitor know what the ordinary Copenhagener finds cool and uncool.

See the article about the project from Danish broadsheet Berlingske Tidende.
