Football is the game, Adidas TUNIT is the name
Although the Danish national team is not playing in the coming 2006 FIFA World Cup, Danish design will be present on the field in the midst of the action, thanks to a new high-tech Adidas football boot, flashing a new brand logo created by Kontrapunkt.
The name is TUNIT as displayed on the famous Adidas +F50 TUNIT modular boot that allows players to customize and tune the boot. Potentially, the technology can be adapted endlessly within sportswear.
"We like the mixture of top-notch technology and human values", says designer Andreas Pettersson at Kontrapunkt. "The modular boot is freedom and form at the same time, and we wanted the logo to express exactly that combination", he explains.
Today, the TUNIT boot is used by players such as Djibril Cissé from the Liverpool FC, Jermain Defoe of the Tottenham Hotspurs and Chelsea's Arjen Robben. Like other national team players, they will appear in this summer's World Cup in Germany, wearing their own personal configurations of the +F50 TUNIT. ///
