It fills us with pride to announce that we are the winners of two awards at Red Dot Awards 2016.
Our own open source typeface, Miki, won the award “Best of the Best” at this year's Red Dot.
Nille Halding, Senior Creative Manager, is also excited, “As a member of the Kontrapunkt typeface family, we have loved Miki for a long time. Now, we’re glad to learn that others see the value in a typeface that works on all platforms too. With a subtle character, the Miki typeface is applicable in so many contexts and scenarios."
Miki encapsulates the danish design tradition with its emphasis on human forms and soft, sculptural edges.
Also, we received a Red Dot award for the visual identity we have created for Danish Design Award.
The visual identity politely nods at Danish design pioneer Knud V. Engelhardt’s typographic work and looks forward with its contemporary touch. Everything is kept simple to draw attention to the award winning designs.
