Following a year of great work and awards in Japan, we are expanding our Japanese team with a new Creative Director, Philip Linnemann. Starting April 1, he will be part of Kontrapunkt's creative management team and in charge of executing our strategy to help exploit the great potential in Japan.
“I can’t wait to get started with my new role as Creative Director of Kontrapunkt Japan. Due to my family belongings to the company, I have always followed Kontrapunkt closely. With the current growth rate it is a very exciting time to join the agency, and with our dedicated team I look forward to further strengthen our many new client relations.”
Philip joins Kontrapunkt after two and a half years as a Corporate Entrepreneur at Danske Bank, the biggest bank in Denmark. In 2017, he has been selected for their talent programme.
Graduating with top honours in 2012, Philip holds a BA in Graphic Design Communication from the University of the Arts London and followed this with a Master of Science in Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management from Imperial College Business School.
Executive Director & Partner at Kontrapunkt, Rikke Nalepa Olesen, is thrilled about our new Creative Director.
"Philip is perfect for creating growth at Kontrapunkt in Japan. For many years we have worked in Japan but recent years have seen an increasing demand for our skills in areas such as strategic advice, typography design and digital design. As an excellent designer and entrepreneurial strategist, Philip is the ideal candidate to develop and strengthen Kontrapunkt as one of the best design agencies in the world."
With Kontrapunkt Japan's new office located in the middle of design-center Aoyama, a string of new clients, a handful of design awards and now the appointment of Philip Linnemann as Creative Director, the future seems bright.
