As the Creative Circle jury presented the award they praised the two founders’ craftsmanship and impact on Danish design as a whole: “This year we honour an incredible duo who, for more than 3o years, have created some of the most significant national and international identities and brands. In Denmark, we are world-famous for our creativity, innovation and not least design. Some talk about Denmark as a “design intelligent nation”. This year the Achievement award goes to this unique and talented duo for the difference their sublime craftsmanship and design solutions have made and continue to make for Denmark.”
“To me, this award is truly special. Many awards focus on the final result, the design, but this is an acknowledgement of creativity and the desire to keep on exploring, experimenting and trying new things. Yes, we’ve been around for a while, but we’re still as curious about the world as when we first started out. Staying curious is how we remain playful and challenge ourselves every day,” says Design Director Bo Linnemann.
Throughout the years, Kim and Bo have designed iconic brand identities for national and international brands like Carlsberg, Denso, ASICS Tiger, the majority of Danish Ministries, Nissan, PMQ in Hong Kong, Rambøll, d’Angleterre, Noma, Danske Bank, and many more.
Together, the two have left an undeniable mark on our industry and the many iconic designs visible throughout the streets, stations and stores of Denmark and beyond, are a true testament to their ability to unite zeitgeist and timelessness in a powerful design language.
“I am so very excited and proud of this award. I was especially moved by the overwhelming reception from our colleagues in the industry”, adds Co-founder Kim Meyer Andersen.
Congratulations to Bo and Kim, and to all of us. Let’s hear it for a lifetime of iconic design, and let’s stay curious for many many more years to come.
