Visual identity for Gallery Faurschou
Expanding minds and spaceIn 2008, internationally-recognised Gallery Faurschou in Copenhagen opened a sister space in the emerging 798 Art District of Beijing. A perfect opportunity to update the visual identity and have it more accurately reflect their strong offer of both modern and contemporary art. | What do you think?Interpretation is a cornerstone of art. Inspired by that idea, we sought a simple yet elegant visual feel that reflected the gallery’s high end reputation and lived up to the interpretative nature of the art it represented. The typography we designed touches on both modern and contemporary. For followers of these genres, it’s a clear visual cue that Faurschou belongs to their world. And because it has so much character, we didn’t clutter things up with a logo, electing instead to use the name “Faurschou” as a logotype. | Beyond recognitionGallery Faurschou in Copenhagen has always enjoyed a strong reputation for its modern and contemporary collection with art buyers worldwide. Now that the identity is being used in catalogues, signage and invitations in both Copenhagen and Beijing, clients know they can expect the same exclusivity and quality from either gallery. | More informationFor further information, please contact creative director Martin Lasthein Hansen |
